The Brazos River through Richmond continues to rise as the Watershed received 2 to 7 inches of rainfall over the past 7 days. Currently, the Brazos River in Richmond is in Action Stage at Gage Elevation 26.87 and is predicted to peak around Gage Elevation 32.3. The NWS forecast is calling for an additional 0.5 to 1.5 inches with isolated amounts of 2 to 3 inches of rain over the next 24 hours. Rain chances remain through Wednesday before the Region gets a chance to dry out toward the end of the week. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed receiving less than 1 inch of rain over the next 7 days with the majority of this falling over the next 24 hours. The Brazos River in Richmond is in Action Stage, but based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
