Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Oct 10, 2022

Currently, the Brazos River in Richmond remains low at Gage Elevation 8.24 feet. The forecast for this week is calling for a continuation of our dry conditions with sunny to partly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s. Our rain chances remain low for the majority of the week with our best chances for rain, about 20 to 30%, on Wednesday and Thursday. The extended forecast is showing the possibility of increased rain chances early next week as a potentially stronger cold front pushing through the Region. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed receiving ΒΌ inch or less over the next 7 days. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
