Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Oct 18, 2021

The Brazos River in Richmond is at Gage Elevation 12.04 feet. We are expecting a slight increase through mid-week due to upstream reservoir releases. The Brazos River is anticipated to rise to Richmond Gage 14.2 feet staying below Action Stage. Overall, the lower Brazos River watershed, along with much of Southeast Texas, should see drier conditions through the weekend. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed receiving less than 0.1 inch of rain over the next 7 days. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.

The National Hurricane Center is watching several storms and disturbances in the Atlantic, but there are no current threats for southeast Texas.
