Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Nov 6, 2023

As of 11:15 AM on November 6, 2023, the Brazos River in Richmond remains low at Gage Elevation 10.15 feet. The lower Brazos River is experiencing a slight increase to Gage Elevation 11.8 feet from rainfall that occurred upstream of Hempstead over the past week. The Region will start the week warmer than last week; however, a cold front should push through toward the end of the week. Ahead of the cold front, our rain chances increase Thursday and Friday. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed receiving between ½ inch to 2 inches of rain over the next 7 days. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
