Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Nov 28, 2022

Currently, the Brazos River in Richmond remains low at Gage Elevation 9.52 feet. The WGRFC is expecting the Brazos River to rise to around Gage Elevation 13.5 feet on Friday due to rainfall that occurred in the lower Watershed last week. The Region is expecting another cold front to push through late Tuesday night which increases the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Based on the forecast, the most severe weather should remain closer to the Texas-Louisiana border. Outside of Tuesday, the Region should experience sunny / partly sunny skies with low rain chances. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed receiving less than ΒΌ inch over the next 7 days. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
