This Week
Another warm start of the week before our next cold front pushes through the region on Wednesday. To start the week, temperatures will be highs in the upper 70s to low 80s with lows in the mid to upper 60s. Once the cold front pushes through the region, our high temperatures will drop to the upper 60s to low 70s with low temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 40s before temperatures gradually begin to rise into the weekend. Ahead of the cold front, the NWS is forecasting a round of severe weather mainly to our north, northwest over central Texas. The most severe and heaviest rainfall should remain upstream of Fort Bend County with the upper portions of the Brazos River (Bryan/College Station to Waco) potentially seeing between 2 to 3 inches through Thursday morning. The lower portions of the watershed, including Fort Bend County, should see less an inch through Thursday morning. We are watching how this widespread rainfall will impact the watershed, but based on the forecasts no flooding along the Brazos River is anticipated.
