On September 9, the LID 14 Board of Directors voted to reduce taxes for residents. The LIDb s 2019 tax rate will be $0.15 on each $100 of assessed valuation of taxable property within the district, down from $0.2095 for the previous tax year. This will result in tax savings of over 30% for LID residents. And, as a result of the Boardb s agreement with Fort Bend County Tax Assessor-Collector Carrie Surratt to allow the County to collect taxes, your taxes payable to the LID will be included on your County tax bill.
The Board also voted to enact significant debt reduction measures by paying off some of the LIDb s outstanding bonds ahead of schedule. The Board of Directors takes its role as stewards of taxpayer funds seriously, and always strives to improve service and reduce costs while continuing to provide storm drainage and flood control and protection for its residents.
