Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Mar 21, 2024

As of 1:15 PM on March 21, 2024, the Brazos River in Richmond is at Gage Elevation 12.07 feet and slowly rising. This afternoon the West Gulf River Forecast Center (WGRFC) is predicting the Brazos River in Richmond to rise above Action Stage over the weekend. According to the 1:53 PM forecast, the WGRFC anticipates the Brazos River reaching Gage Elevation 22.7 feet early next week. The National Weather Service forecast is showing a break in the rainfall after today with mostly sunny skies through Sunday. Additional rain chances are in the forecast for early next week. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
