Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Oct 02, 2023

As of 9:15 AM on October 2, 2023, the Brazos River in Richmond remains low at Gage Elevation 8.26 feet. Although the Region will start the week with warm, summer like weather, the NWS forecast the week includes some beneficial rain and a cold front. The cold front should push through toward the end of the week bring cooler temperatures into the weekend. The Region will start the week with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s with cooler high temperatures in the mid- to low 80s. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed receiving between 1 to 3 inches over the next 7 days with the highest amounts closer to Waco. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
