Weekly Brazos River Outlook – Oct 31, 2022

Currently, the Brazos River in Richmond remains low at Gage Elevation 8.93 feet. We could see a minor rise in the river, resulting in a peak around Gage Elevation 9.6, due to upstream rainfall and releases that occurred last week. The forecast includes sunny to mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid-70s and low 80s. Rain chances on Tuesday are around 50% due to an upper level disturbance passing through the State as it combines with increased moisture levels. The 7-Day Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) is showing the lower Brazos River Watershed between 1 to 1.75 inches less over the next 7 days. The majority of this rainfall could occur on Tuesday. Based on the current forecast, no flooding due to the Brazos River through Fort Bend County is anticipated.
